Corners Desmond King & Chidobe Awuzie Latest to Accept Senior Bowl Invitations

Eighteen more players have accepted their invitations to the 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl, including reigning Jim Thorpe Award winner (best defensive back) Desmond King of Iowa.

King is joined by Auburn DT Montravius Adams, Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie, Texas A&M safety Justin Evans, UCLA OT Conor McDermott and DE/OLB Takkarist McKinley and Arkansas TE Jeremy Sprinkle.

The 18 new additions to the roster push the total number of accepted invites to 47. The Reese's Senior Bowl will bring in 110 of the top seniors and fourth-year junior graduates this coming January. Practices on NFL Network and ESPN2 start on Jan. 24 with kickoff of the 68th Annual Reese's Senior Bowl set for 1:30pmCT on Jan. 28.

Frank Coyle is a long time scout with nationwide ties with coaches, scouts and player agents. He is a long time member of the FWAA and voter in College player awards - Heisman, Outland, Nagurski, Lombardi, Thorpe, Biletnikoff etc for the past 20 years. He writes College Football Mondays weekly during the season. He is a longtime scouting consultant for the Senior Bowl, the nation’s premier postseason All-star game. He does sports radio shows for ESPN, Fox Sports and Sporting News on a year-round basis related to College Football especially during the postseason team and All-star Bowl time.
