Top 25 Teams - Week Six

This past weekend saw the top ten undergo several major changes. Ohio St remains Draft Insiders #1 team and has not moved since August. We ranked Ohio St #1 since day one with Alabama making many changes on their highly regarded defense. Alabama suffered their first loss of the college football 2010 season to South Carolina, ending a streak of 19 consecutive victories. The top ten clubs shuffled according with Texas Christina moving to our #2 ranking. Alabama fell in every poll with SEC rivals Auburn and LSU moving ahead of the defending national champion. Florida suffered their second consecutive loss, a first during HC Urban Meyer’s reign in Gainesville. Florida St. moved into the top 20 clubs with another nice win over Miami to bring their record to 5-1.
Michigan St. remained undefeated with a key win over rival Michigan who entered the game with a perfect record. Texas Christian, Oregon, Boise St, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Auburn, Utah remain as Top Ten clubs as unbeatens. The Sooners have been in our Top Ten since August while the Auburn Tigers were Draft Insiders sleeper team of the Year in the preseason when we ranked them in the Top 15 clubs with no recognition in any other poll. This is the first week of the Harris Poll an interactive poll that includes input from several sources. Next week, the first BCS standings will be announced. There is an expected controversy with several possible undefeated clubs like Boise St., Utah and Michigan St. most likely down the charts in the initial rankings.
