College Player of Week - Kentucky QB Andre' Woodson
Quarterback André Woodson has been selected as the College National Player of the Week by Draft Insiders.com, in addition to the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his play in Saturday’s 40-34 win over Louisville. He beat out Florida' QB Tim Tebow and running backs Arkansas' Darren McFadden and Wisconsin's P.J. Hill in the balloting.
Andre' Woodson completed 30 of 44 passes for 275 yards and 4 TDs, including the game-winning 57-yard TD to wide receiver Steve Johnson with only 28 seconds remaining. Woodson extended his streak of consecutive passes without interception to 257, breaking the SEC record of 214 consecutive throws without a pick by Georgia’s David Greene.
Kentucky’s victory over in state #9 Louisville represented the Wildcat’s first win over a top-10 ranked opponent in 30 years. It moved Kentucky into The AP top-25 rankings for the first time since the 1984 season.

Huge athletic slick throwing senior QB has been a force in the SEC in recent seasons and could be the next big time talented passer from this talented conference. He is just starting to receive national attention of the other premier passers, after several impressive showings as an underclassman. He has fine athleticism, very tough mentality and the smarts to lead an offense. He has a big windup in his delivery that may need some work, but he has a strong arm and the touch to make all the throws. He can become an elite prospect with development in a big final season. He shows good accuracy and timing and with further development on reading defenses he can rank as a blue chip prospect. He has decent mobility and is very good in pocket but possesses only average speed as a scrambler. Capable of being a blue chip prospect next April.
