Draft Insiders’ Staff

Ranking /Record /Team

#1 – 3-1 Chiefs
Chiefs continue to run on all cylinders behind Patrick Mahomes. Blasted the Bucs last week. Host the Raiders Monday night in one of the leagues’ best rivalries.

#2 – 3-1 Bills
Bills made a great comeback vs the Ravens behind an impressive late drive by QB Josh Allen. They host the Steelers this Sunday in an old AFC matchup.

#3 – 4-0 Eagles
The Eagles are the league’s only unbeaten club. They fought off the pesky Jaguars behind a strong ground game and good performance by QB Jalen Hurts. Travel to the desert to face the Cards this week.

#4 – 2-2 – Bucs
Bucs came up flat vs the Chiefs especially their defense. Host the Falcons in an important South matchup.

#5 – 2-2 49ers
The 49ers drilled the Rams again behind a relentless defense and an efficient offense. QB Jimmy Garoppolo wins with this club and might be the best fit here. Travel to Carolina for another NFC matchup.

#6 – 2-2 Rams
Rams were stifled by the swarming 49ers defense. Ground game never got going and the pass protection struggled all night to protect QB Matthew Stafford. Host the Cowboys for a key NFC matchup.

#7 – 3-1 Dolphins
Dolphins were handled by the Bengals. QB Tua Tagovailo sustained a serious concussion which puts him on the sidelines for at least this week vs game at the Jets.

#8 – 3-1 Packers
The Packers edged the Patriots as Aaron Rodgers spread the ball around to a number of receivers. They face the surprising Giants in London this week.

#9 – 3-1 – Cowboys
The Cowboys continue to rally around QB Cooper Rush in the absence Dak Prescott. They methodically beat the Commanders to keep pace in the East. Travel to LA to face the Rams this Sunday with Dak dressing though Rush probably starting.

#10 – 2-2 Chargers
The Chargers offense exploded behind QB Justin Herbert and runner Austin Ekeler. Travel to Cleveland with a chance to keep pace with the AFC West leaders. This matchup result can be much bigger down the road.

#11 – 2-2 Bengals
The Bengals drilled the Dolphins on Thursday night. Look to take command in the AFC North this week facing the Ravens. Their offensive line though must improve further.

#12 – 3-1 Vikings
Vikings outlasted the Saints behind a strong performance by wideout Justin Jefferson. Host the Bears this week looking to retain leadership in the NFC North.

#13- 2-2 – Broncos
The Broncos looked lousy losing to the Raiders. Their offense continues to struggle despite many high picks plus the huge trade for Russell Wilson. Host the Colts Thursday night in a pivotal AFC contest for both clubs.

#14 – 2-2 Ravens
The Ravens collapsed again despite a big late lead this time vs the Bills. Host the Bengals Sunday night in a very critical AFC North matchup with the winner moving to the top of the division.

#15 – 3-1 Giants
The Giants gutted out a good win vs the Bears behind Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. They face the Packers in London this week looking to keep the momentum going.

#16 – 2-2 Titans
The Titans returned to their balanced efficient offense relying on power back Derrick Henry and excellent
game management by QB Ryan Tannehill. They travel to the Capital hoping to establish South leadership.

#17 – 2-2 Jaguars
Jaguars fumbled away any chance of beating the Eagles. QB Trevor Lawrence fumbled four times which killed a few drives and also put them in bad field position. Host the Texans this week looking to stay abreast in the AFC South.

#18 – 2-2 Falcons
Falcons came up big down the stretch vs the Browns. Their battered defense responded with a few big turnovers. Travel to Tampa Bay looking to hold NFC South leadership.

#19 – 2-2 Cardinals
Cardinals won vs the Panthers looking to get into the NFC West race. Host the undefeated Eagles and a chance to establish themselves as a solid contender in a balanced conference.

#20 – 1-2-1 Colts
Colts struggled again vs the Titans as QB Matt Ryan adjusts to this offense. Runner Jonathan Taylor has been a non-factor weekly with defenses keying on him. Ankle injury shelfs him this week. Travel to Denver for Thursday night matchup between AFC struggling contenders.

#21 – 2-2 Browns
Browns collapsed again losing to the Falcons with late turnovers. Host the Chargers this Sunday hoping to stay apace the AFC North, with questionable performances over first quarter of season.

#22 – 2-2 Seahawks
Seahawks rallied for a wild victory over the Lions. QB Geno Smith has been surprising good in his new starting assignment. Travel to New Orleans to face the struggling Saints this Sunday.

#23 – 1-3 Steelers
Steelers caved in late vs the Jets while switching to rookie QB Kenny Pickett. Their offense produced just two QB sneak TDs. They could easily fall out of contention early with road game in Buffalo this week.

#24 – 1-3 Saints
The Saints lost wild game in London to the Vikings. Host the Seahawks in a key NFC matchup to stay in contention. Critical starting QB decision between starter Dalton and rehabbing Winston pending.

#25 – 1-3 Patriots
The Pats battled the Packers the full game, but lack the firepower to finish. Host the Lions this Sunday in a game which could determine if this roster has the talent to contend for the postseason.

#26 – 2-2 Jets
Jets made another great 4th quarter comeback this time behind QB Zach Wilson. Get the Dolphins at home this week without Tua. Type of matchup they can steal and get into playoff chase.

#27 – 2-2 Bears
The Bears were handled by the GMen last week and allowed their ground game to control the game.  Travel to Minnesota for a critical North battle vs the hot Vikings.

#28- 1-3 Raiders
The Raiders get into the win column by drilling the lackluster Broncos. Travel to KC for Monday night matchup of hated rivals. Raiders need to step up here to get into the chase in the toughest division in the NFL.

#29 – 1-3 Lions
Lions are experts at finding new ways to lose. Their offense ranks among the leagues’ leader, but they make critical weekly mistakes especially late to come up short. QB Jared Goff is playing very well. Travel to New England in a matchup of equally desperate clubs needing a win.

#30 – 1-3 Commanders
The Commanders came up short vs the Cowboys with key penalties hurting any comeback chances.
Host the Titans in a key contest they need to stay alive in the NFC East race.

Lions exploded for another 35 point performance with QB Jared Goff playing very well. Their defense must improve both vs the run and pass. Travel to Minnesota for a key NFC North contest.

#24 – 1-1 Jaguars
Jaguars young defense shut down the Colts completely. QB Trevor Lawrence is playing well with new weapons that make this club dangerous going forward. Travel to the Chargers this week in a key AFC matchup.

#25 – 0-1-1 Colts
QB Matt Ryan struggled under heavy pressure by the Jaguars including 5 sacks and 3 interceptions. Runner Jonathan Taylor could only rush for 54 yards as Jacksonville won for the 8th consecutive time at home vs the Colts. Host the Chiefs in a vital matchup for them to stay in the AFC picture.

#26 – 0-2 Titans
The Titans were toasted by the Bills on Monday night. They have problems on both sides of the ball with marginal rushing from the usually potent Tennessee ground game and average passing from QB Ryan Tannehill. They host the equally desperate Raiders this Sunday.

#27 – 0-2 Raiders
The Raiders collapsed vs the Cardinals and face a must win situation in Tennessee this week. They fail to run the ball effectively and rely on Derek Carr to carry this lifeless attack. They face Broncos and Chiefs in the ensuing weeks.

#28 – 1-1 Commanders
The Commanders came up short vs the Lions as they surrendered 4 TD passes and failed to protect QB Carson Wentz. Host the hot Eagles in a key NFC East contest.

#29 – 1-1 Jets
Jets made a great 4th quarter comeback with QB Joe Flacco throwing 2 late TD passes for the victory. They host the desperate Bengals this Sunday as their difficult first half schedule continues.

#30 – 0-2 Falcons
Falcons came up short again with their late rally ending in turnovers. Their defense disappointed again and their attack lacks potent scoring potential vs top clubs. Travel to Seattle looking for their initial 2022 victory.

#31 – 0-2 Panthers
Panthers lost a battle of field goals with the GMen. They face a difficult upcoming month which probably does not bode well for this coaching staff’s future.

#32 – 0-1-1 Texans
Texans have been competitive in their early games, though lack the fire power to get over the top.
This club travels to Chicago where the Bears looking to stay pace in the NFC North.
