Penn State Pro Day Results

Penn State Pro Day by the numbers

Frank Coyle / Head scout

The Penn State pro day was a much appreciated event for NFL scouts to see QB Drew Allar participate. Allar is coming off a broken ankle injury which terminated his 2025 season at midseason. He participated in the passing drills, though no other drills due to rehabbing his injury.  He displayed a strong arm with the ability to make all the throws with touch and accuracy. He hopes to claim the #3 QB ranking off his workout. His rehab is on schedule and is expected to make Top 30 visits in April.

Runner Nick Singleton did not workout due to the Senior Bowl injury. He did 25 reps in the lifting only. Teammate back Kaytron Allen did not workout at the Pro day or the NFL Combine.

Here’s a look at the testing results from Penn State Pro Day. Defensive linemen Dani Dennis-Sutton and Zane Durant stood on their excellent NFL Combine performances. Runner

Drew Allar weighed in slimmer than he played at last season, while Devonte Ross tested pretty well Wedneday at Penn State Pro Day.

Twenty former Nittany Lions participated in Pro Day at Holuba Hall, where coach Matt Campbell entertained a crowd of NFL scouts. Penn State’s nine invitees to the NFL Scouting Combine attended, though most did not participate in drills. Specialists Gabriel Nwosu and Riley Thompson also did not record times in testing drills.

Ohio State Pro Day Workout

Ohio State Pro Day Workout Draws Huge Scouting Contingent

Pro Day Results – below

Frank Coyle / Head Scout & Staff

The National champion Ohio State Byuckeye’s  held their Pro day on Wednesday for  17 pro prospects. Over 140 NFL personnel, including six coaches and five general managers, gathered inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for evaluations of 17 Ohio State draft prospects who hope to continue their football careers in the NFL. Several of the highly rated prospects stood on their NFL Combine results. A few players like LB Cody Simon, CB  Jordan Hancock , DT Ty Hamilton, safety Lathan Ranson and OT Josh Fryar looked sharp in drills and put up impressive numbers.

QB Will Howard had a strong passing session where he went through throwing drills. He worked with teammate receiver Emeka Egbuka and put on a show for scouts. Egbuka is a first round bubble prospect at this point and a strong showing yesterday may guarantee a top selection. He also ran a 4.45 sprint with a fast 1.50 ten yard split. Howard improved his stock again. He displayed a powerful arm with tight delivery, accuracy and touch. He interviewed after the event with several teams. His impressive 2024 season when he directed the Buckeyes to the national title after losing to Michigan in the season finale left a strong impression on NFL personnel men.

Players like OT Josh Simmons and OL Seth McLaughlin did not workout – still in the rehab process from early 2024 knee injuries. Simmons did lift and pumped out 34 reps while guard Donovan Jackson did 32 reps. DT Ty Hamilton did the most at the event with 35 reps from the power defender. Fellow DT Tyleik Williams was a particpant who fell during his 40 yard sprint. He tripped at 20 yards of the event and was taken to the locker work. He returned to the field with a minor sprain but discontinued his workout.

In attendance at Ohio State’s Pro Day:

141 total NFL personnel

Coaches (6)
Ben Johnson – Bears
Raheem Morris – Falcons
Kellen Moore – Saints
Brian Schottenheimer – Cowboys
Mike Tomlin – Steelers
Mike Vrabel – Patriots

General Managers (5)
Terry Fontenot – Falcons
Brian Gutenkunst – Packers
Omar Khan – Steelers
Ryan Poles – Bears
Mickey Loomis – Saints

Those 17 members of last year’s national championship team included:

Quarterback Will Howard
Running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins
Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka
Tight end Gee Scott Jr.
Offensive linemen Donovan Jackson, Seth McLaughlin, Josh Fryar and Josh Simmons
Defensive ends Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau
Defensive tackles Tyleik Williams and Ty Hamilton
Linebacker Cody Simon
Cornerbacks Denzel Burke and Jordan Hancock
Safety Lathan Ransom

Former Ohio State running back Miyan Williams – who went undrafted last year after a knee injury sidelined him from the pre-draft process – also participated in Wednesday’s event.
