Frank Coyle / Head scout

The final days of the Pro day schedule will feature two teams ,Indiana and Tennessee with several highly rated prospects. The national champion Hoosiers will feature Heisman trophy winner QB Fernando Mendoza at Wednesday’s pro day. He intends to perform the positional drills as a finale to an incredible season with Indiana. Mendoza’s passing drills will be on NFL Network at 1 pm on Wednesday. His senior receivers, Omar Cooper and Elijah Sarratt (photo – Mark J Rebilas  – Imagn Images) are expected to participate. Cooper has emerged as a possible 1st round pick off an outstanding final performance including a strong NFL Combine workout. Sarratt did not workout at the NFL Combine and is expected to particapate and possibly run at the Indiana pro day. He figures to be selected on the 2nd day of the NFL Draft with a good performance.  Corner D’Angelo Ponds had a dynamic 2025 performance. He impressed at the NFL Combine when he did a 43.5″ VL and impressive positional drills. He is expected to perform
Wednesday and possibly run for the scouts.                                                                                                                                                                                    Indiana Hoosiers  receiver  Elijah Sarratt (13)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Photo Credit: Mark J. Tennessee closes out March with their pro day Tuesday 3/31. Corner Jermod McCoy is a blue chip defender which teams have been very interested in seeing perform after sitting out the 2025 season rehabbing a knee injury. He is a shutdown cover man with the total package teams covet in a starting corner. Teammate corner Colton Hood had a strong performance at the NFL Combine and may not workout. Vols receiver, Chris Brazzell ran a strong 4.37 time at the NFL Combine, though not other drills. He may do the positional drills in front of a large contingent of NFL scouts. Draft Insiders’ will have extensive coverage of these and all Pro days in the NFL Draft Yearbook, available within the week.

This week will be a critical part of the final weeks of the Pro day schedule at major universities.  LSU and Miami kick off the week today with multiple prospects in attendance. Whether prospects workout depends on their performance at the NFL Combine and their overall health.  Many prospects sat out or did particle workouts at the NFL Combine. Several top prospects will most likely do positional drills assuming they are healthy. Notre Dame and Texas are scheduled for Tuesday while Ohio State, Texas A&M and Alabama are set for Wednesday. Draft Insiders Yearbook will have detailed scouting evaluation reports related to final workouts and health updates.
