He is both the #1 receiver and #1 cornerback – an amazing feat considering that each position is one of the premier groups in the NFL. Hunter is unrivaled with players to compare to overall. At wideout, we compare him to John Jefferson is size, athleticism and overall development. As a cornerback we compare him to Champ Bailey who saw some actioin at receiver and returner. He did not average anywhere near 110 snaps per game like Hunter. Truly a generational prospect and capable of being an impact regular performer on both sides of the ball. He has been our #1 overall prospect since last August and we never considered moving him down at any time.

Positional Overview: With the evolution of the expanded NFL passing game over the past decade, receivers have become the dominant performers in a pro-offense. At this year’s NFL Combine, another record number of receivers (26) ran sub 4.5 forty times. Matthew Golden led the class with a blazing 4.29 time, though it fell short of the new NFL Combine record an amazing 4.21 sprint by Xavier Worthy during last year’s combine. Nine other players ran sub 4.4 times as the advanced training methods produce new manufactured speed. This year’s group is an exceptionally deep and a quality class which may rival the best of recent classes. This is a very strong group from the top ten through the middle rounds. This deep class has many blue and red chip prospects. This class has the talent and depth at the position to be a bumper crop which should produce many new NFL starters and a record number of overall selections. This position could provide many playmakers with as many as 5-6 with 1st round choices. The top four prospects, Travis Hunter, Tetairoa McMillan, Matthew Golden and Luther Burden are playmakers at a high level of development to provide rookie impact. Each is rated as 1st round receivers. Hunter is a multi-position blue chip athlete at both wideout and cornerback. He is unrivaled as a two-way prospect with elite skills on both sides of the ball. Another receiver Emeka Egbuka is a possible 1st round pick after strong 2024 performance. The top 100 could provide a new record of prospects with 15+ chosen. Unheralded prospects, Jayden Higgins, Jack Bech, Isaiah Bond and Jalen Royals are all potential early NFL starters with above average developed skills. Probably 35+ receivers could go over the seven-round event. The underclassmen will once again play a huge factor here. There are a few fast-rising prospect like Jaylin Noel and Kyle Williams are moving up quickly off impressive postseasons. There will be many rookie FAs who carry make it grades entering camp and most likely practice squad members.

NFL Premier Player – Ja’Marr Chase

Blue Chip –
