Huge wide body frame with good arms and fine agility to slide and move laterally to effectively block especially in the running game. Fast rising natural talent to start soon at guard, though needs development in protection to be ready for starting duty. He resets the line of scrimmage with his massive frame where he is able to control and steer an opponent with the ability to roll his hips and crush defenders. His strong run blocking was instrumental in the Lions power ground game. He dominates in the run game with the agility to move opponents off the line consistently. His massive hands lock on and when he follows with knee bend and footwork, he becomes an inside road grader. He has special power along with good movement skills to earn a rookie starting grade. He needs work on his slide and mirror technique, balance and his ability to reset and use his powerful arms to sustain. His long reach and massive trunk make him the ideal physical package to improve in pass pro. Displays a fine physique, featuring broad shoulders, strong hips, wide base and long arms. Carries his 320 lbs. well with good movement skills, though needs to improve his quickness off the snap to utilize his full athleticism. He plays with good knee bend to shuffle and mirror and utilize his massive frame. Shows the strength to anchor well against a bull rush and can handle big linemen in single matchups. Shows an awesome hand punch along with the upper body strength to consistently get movement as a drive blocker. Moves well to the 2nd level to fit on backers and finish. He can be overly aggressive with his initial punch, gets off balance and leaves himself susceptible to inside counters. Shows a strong heavy-handed punch, though needs to reload more consistently to be fully effective. Natural talent has a few inconsistencies who must improve quickly for him to face NFL rushers. At the NFL Combine, he came in over 6’4” and 320 lbs. with 32 3/4” arms and big 10 1/2” hands. He did not run or lift. Added a 31.5” VL and an 8’8” BJ. High-quality pro with further refinement of his natural skills. Probable mid-1st round pick with rookie starting grade. Talented blocker faces a learning curve initially, though he has a high ceiling to rank with the best in the game. Marginal top 20 prospect with big time talent. High-quality guard with Pro Bowl skills early in his career.
Draft Projection: 1st Round

Printer Friendly

NFL Draft Scouting Report – Guard Vega Ioune Draft Insiders’ 2026 Yearbook – Scouting Reports – over 250 Reports – available now NFL Team Report – 35 pages – In-depth Evaluation of Each [read more…]

[22,43,11,18
32
0":"post-7248","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nfl-draft-prospects","8":"category-nfl-headlines","9":"category-nfl-news","10":"category-yearbook-sample-scouting-report","11":"tag-draft-insider-news
["GET
