NFL Trade Deadline Looms In Final Week

Nov. 4

Nov. 5
Players with at least four previous pension-credited seasons are subject to the waiver system for the remainder of the regular season and postseason.

The NFL trade deadline is approaching with less than one week before the Nov. 4th final day. There have been many rumors through the fall related to veteran players availability. Salary cap issues will factor into any deals with the 2025 cap limited for many clubs.

Most bidders will be playoff contenders with a few possible .500 clubs in that mix entering the 2nd half of the season. Most traders will be rebuilding clubs, hoping to add more draft capital and add draft choices for next April. Phones will be busy, though movement and getting the right fits on value and salary may limit exchanges. Many of the players on this list will be Free agents in March which reduces their value significantly at the November 4th deadline. Deals for draft selections will usually involve an exchange with the value of draft choices increasing as we approach  next April.

Trades this week

Rams made a trade for cornerback Roger McCreary from the Titans. They sent their 5th round pick in 2026 for McCreary and a 6th round selection from the Titans next April.

Patriots moved two defensive veterans, safety Kyle Dugger and edge defender Keion White for late round draft exchanges. Both deals they acquired 6th round picks for the player and a 7th round exchange. Dugger was acquired by the Steelers while the 49ers added White to address their pass rush.
